If you are like me, you love your Ruger 10/22 rifles and carbines. However, I have always felt that the factory sights leave much to be desired. As I strive to bring my 10/22’s closer to perfection (and closer to the emptiness that is becoming of my wallet), the rudimentary iron sights are usually the first problem I attempt to solve.
For years now the good folks at Tech-Sights have been developing innovative aftermarket sight solutions for the Ruger 10/22, as well AK, SKS, Mini-14 and other great firearms. Tech-Sights employ the same time-proven aperture sight design found on the beloved M16/M4/AR15 lineup, including a windage-adjustable dual rear aperture, and an elevation-adjustable front post. The sights are made to easily mount to existing hardware fittings, so installation is a breeze.
I literally cut my group size in half by simply adding the Tech-Sights and installing an aftermarket hammer/mainspring to lighten the trigger pull… not to mention that target acquisition time is also cut down substantially. If you are in the market for an iron sight upgrade, I would highly recommend you take a look at the offerings from Tech-Sights.

Not sure why Ruger doesn’t equip the 10/22 with peep sights as a factory standard… or at least an option. They are much better than the notch for rifles in pretty much every way. Good thing we have options.
Have some of these on my Savage MKII. Awesome sights.
Yes… major upgrade from the standard post/notch sights on both the 10-22 and the MKII.
