Aurora Illinois Mass Shooting Location Was a “Gun-Free Zone”

According to recent news reports, the mass shooting that left 5 employees and the gunman dead, as well as 5 police officers shot occurred in a ubiquitous “gun-free zone”. According to the research by the Crime Prevention Research Center “98% of mass public shootings since 1950 have taken place in areas where people can’t [legally] defend themselves.”

Apparently, the shooter, Gary Martin, who had already decided to ignore laws banning murder, also decided to ignore the “no-guns” sign at the front door. Is any logical person really surprised that a deranged individual who was hell-bent on committing mass murder and suicide by cop would ignore a “no-guns” sign?
